Nature and human race have, always, shared kinship which is reflected in the works of Indian writers and more especially in Indian women writers. It is the environment that fosters human attitudes in the natural writing. Right from the beginning, nature has been the perennial source of life and energy for human race and plant kingdom. In this context Eco psychology studies the relationship between human beings and the natural world through ecological and psychological principles. It is based on the idea that human have an in-built connection to the natural environment. It seeks to help people to explore this connection and restore the bond where it may have been broken. The field seeks to develop and understand ways of expanding the emotional connection between individuals and the natural world, thereby assisting individuals with sustainable lifestyles and remedying alienation from nature. The term Eco psychology was coined by Theodore Roszak in 1992 in his book The Voice of the Earth. The term is also known by other names which include Gaia psychology, psychoecology, ecotherapy, environmental psychology, green psychology, global therapy, green therapy, Earth -centered therapy, ecosophy and sylvan therapy. Ecopsychology explores how to develop emotional bonds with nature. It considers this to be worthwhile because when nature is explored and viewed without judgment, it gives the sensations of harmony, balance, timelessness and stability. Ecopsychologists have begun detecting unspoken grief within individuals, an escalation of pain and despair, felt in response to widespread environmental destruction. It also believes that without the influence of nature, humans are prone to variety of delusions

Pittaja Mutrakrichhra is one of the types of Mutrakrichhra and is well explained in classical texts of Ayurveda with its specific characters. In this disease due to consumption of Ushna, Tiksna, Ruksha Ahara, and Mutra Vegadharana, less water intake, maintaining poor hygiene leads to aggravation of Pitta followed by Kapha and Vata causes impairment in the functioning of Basti. The Lakshanas of Pittaja Mutrakrichhra are Peetamutrata, Sadahamutrata, Krichhramutrata, Saraktamutrata, Muhurmuhar Mutra Pravrutti. These Lakshanas have close resemblance with signs and symptoms of Lower UTI. Infections confined to Lower UTI commonly cause dysuria with burning micturation, frequency and urgency. Lower urinary tract infection includes cystitis and urethritis. These infections considered superficial (or mucosal) infections. Urinary tract infections are the second most common type of infection in the body, accounting for about 8.1 million visits to health care providers each year. Around 1% boys and 3% girls will develop UTI during childhood, and 50% of women will be treated for at least one UTI during their life time. Hence this attempt of present article made to define Pittaja Mutrakrichhra on scientific way w.s.r. LUTI

NEIGHBOURHOOD LOAD ROUTING AND MULTI-CHANNELS IN WIRELESS MESH NETWORKS

As an emerging technology, wireless mesh networks are making significant progress in the area of wireless networks in recent years. Routing in Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) is challenging because of the unpredictable variations of the wireless environment. Traditional mechanisms have been proved that the routing performance would get deteriorated and ideal metrics must be explored. Most wireless routing protocols that are currently available are designed to use a single channel. The available network capacity can be increased by using multiple channels, but this requires the development of new protocols specifically designed for multi-channel operation. In this paper, we propose Neighbourhood load routing metric in single channel mesh networks and also present the technique to utilize multiple channels and multiple interfaces between routers for communication. The traditional routing metrics Hop Count and Weighted Cumulative Expected Transmission Time (WCETT) are used in routing. We compare performance of AODV-HOP, WCETT and NLR routing metrics in singlechannel and multichannel environment by considering throughput and end to end delay performance metrics. Our results show that NLR performs better in singlechannel environment

A Comparative Study of Ensemble Classifiers for Paddy Blast Disease Prediction Model

Paddy blast has become most epidemic disease in many rice growing countries. Various statistical methods have been used for the prediction of paddy blast but previously used methods failed in predicting diseases with good accuracy. However the need to develop new model that considers both weather factors and non weather  data called blast disease data that influences paddy disease to grow. Given this point we developed ensemble classifier based paddy disease prediction model taking weather data from January 2013 to December 2019 from Agricultural and Horticulture Research Station Kathalgere Davangere District. For the predictive model we collected 7 kinds of weather data and 7 kinds of disease related data that includes Minimum Temperature, Maximum Temperature, Temperautre Difference,Relative Humidity, Stages of Paddy Cultivation, Varities of seeds, Season of cropping and so on. It is observed and analyzed that Minimum Temperature, Humidity and Rainfall has huge correlation with occurrence of disease. Since some of the variables are non numeric to convert them to numeric data one hot encoding approach is followed and to improve efficiency of ensemble classifiers  4 different filter based features selection methods are used such as Pearson’s correlation, Mutual information, ANNOVA F Value, Chi Square. Three different ensemble classifiers are used as predictive models and classifiers are compared it is observed that Bagging ensemble technique has achieved  accuracy of 98% compared to Adaboost of 97% and Voting classifier of 88%. Other classification metrics are used evaluate different classifiers like precision, recall, F1 Score, ROC and precision recall score. Our proposed ensemble classifers for paddy blast disease prediction has achieved high precision and high recall but when the solutions of model are closely looked bagging classifier is better compared to other ensemble classifers that are proposed in predicting paddy blast disease

World Health Organization defines osteoporosis as a “Progressive systemic skeletal disease characterized by low bone mass and micro architectural deterioration of bone tissue, with a consequent increase in bone fragility and susceptibility to fracture” Osteoporosis is considered a serious public health concern. Based on 2001 census approximately 163 million Indians are above the age of 50. This number is expected to increase to 230 million by 2015. Even conservative estimated suggest that of these, 20% of women and about 10-15% of men would be osteoporotic. The total effected population would, therefore, be around 25million, the figure can increase to 50 million. According to the classics, Asthi Kshaya is having the Lakshanas like Asthi Shoolam, Kesha, Loma, Nakha, Dwija Prapatanam, Sandhi Shaitilya. As some of the Laskshana of Asthi Kshaya resembles with the signs and symptoms of Osteoporosis, to certain extent it can be compared to Osteoporosis

Torsion of cystic ovary: an unusual cause of acute abdomen in midtrimester pregnancy

    Get PDF
Torsion of ovary is an infrequent cause of surgical emergency in pregnancy. Most frequently ovarian torsion occurs in first trimester, occasionally in second and rarely in the third trimester. Diagnosis of ovarian torsion is challenging due to non-specific clinical features. We report here a case of dermoid cyst causing ovarian torsion in second trimester and imaging modalities for its diagnosis and management. A case of 19 year old primi at 24 weeks of gestational age came with complaints of pain in right iliac fossa for 2 days. USG done showed non vascular heterogeneous hyper echoic lesion in right adnexa, suggestive of torsion of right ovary with viable intrauterine fetus. She underwent emergency laparotomy, during which we removed necrotic and gangrenous right ovary and fallopian tube. Ovarian torsion is an infrequent cause of abdominal pain in pregnancy. Though it occurs most frequently in first trimester, it may occur in second trimester also. USG is an accurate tool in diagnosing torsion. Early surgical management is associated with favorable maternal and fetal outcome

Background: IUCD (intrauterine contraceptive device) to prevent pregnancy are among the oldest method of contraception. The modern IUCD are highly effective, safe private, long acting and rapidly reversible contraceptive method. Aims and objective of this study was to study the acceptability and safety of postpartum intrauterine contraceptive device (PPIUCD) in postpartum period and to assess the feasibility, safety, efficacy and expulsion rate of IUCD.Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted at tertiary care teaching hospital in Maharashtra from January 2018 to October 2018 and patients were followed up to a period of one-year post IUCD insertion. Results: Majority of patients in this study were in age group 21 to 26 years of age (58.7%) and the least number were in the age group more than 30 years (3.3%). This study showed that majority of patients were primigravida (44%) and the lowest number belonged to gravida 6 (0.3%). Regarding timing of IUCD insertion 73% were done intra caesarean, 22.3% were done post placental and 4.7% were done within 48 hours of delivery. In this study authors found that 4% of patients had per vaginal discharge, 5% had missing IUCD thread and 2% of patients had IUCD expulsion. It was found in this study that 98% of patients continued to use IUCD and only 2% discontinued the usage. Conclusions: From the study authors came to conclusion that PPIUCD insertion is a safe, feasible, effective and reversible method of contraception

Endometrial osseous metaplasia: clinicopathological study of a case and literature review

Endometrial ossification is a rare clinical condition related to menstrual disturbances and infertility. Its etiology and pathogenesis are controversial. The commonly accepted hypothesis is that ossification represents retained fetal bones following spontaneous or therapeutic abortion suggesting enchondral ossification. It can also be due to transformation of mesenchymal tissue to bone in response to chronic inflammation. We present one such case in a 41 year old woman who presented with menorrhagia and dysmenorrhoea following induced abortion 16 years back at 12 weeks of gestation. The patient underwent hysterectomy. We also present a literature review
